Our Team

LEAD PASTOR

Brian Suter is the lead pastor at Branch Church. He is passionate about helping people know Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. Brian has been in church ministry since 2001 with leadership roles in student and adult ministry, teaching, and development. He felt a calling for church planting and God’s prompting to take action in 2020. Through earnest prayer and careful discernment Branch Church was formed in 2021 and supported by a team of energetic volunteers. Brian is encouraged by his wife, Courtnay, who is also passionate about following God’s calling on their life and helping people grow in their faith. She helps with all things print and digital for Branch Church’s communication, as well as leading women’s ministries. They have two children and love raising their family in the Excelsior, MN area. They both love meeting with people and hearing their story, especially over a good cup of coffee!

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Josh Miller joined the Branch Church team in 2022 as an associate pastor. He has led in a vast array of roles within church ministry since 2009 including student ministry, kids, discipleship, and teaching. He felt a calling to join the mission of Branch Church and help shepherd a community that desires to be more connected to Jesus and each other. Josh brings a passion for helping people discover their gifts and serve in the Kingdom. He leads a number of our volunteer teams, including Kids and Student ministries. Josh and his wife Kristen have three kids and live in Minneapolis. As a family they love cabins in the summer, bike rides, sledding, swimming and traveling throughout the year.

WORSHIP PASTOR

JD Grainger is our lead worship pastor. He oversees our worship, production, and facilities teams. JD is wise beyond his years. When you meet him you’ll find his love of interesting facts is surpassed only by his love of Jesus and his family. He has a unique background in worship expressions that allows for a beautiful blend of using current trends with traditional influences, all while discerning the truth of the gospel. JD and wife Bella are Minnesota natives with solid roots in a love of worship and ministry. As newlyweds in 2018 they felt called to Indiana to help church plant. God was faithful to provide them with amazing experience as they navigated a growing family and a growing ministry. In 2023 they felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit calling them back to their hometown and to join the mission of Branch Church. We are blessed to have JD’s passion for Jesus leading our teams and our community.
