Derek Swanson officially joined the team in 2026 as the Location Pastor for our second location. Derek was born in Montana and raised in Colorado. He moved to Minnesota in 2004 where he married Michelle and roots were planted. With a background in ministry along with marketing and entrepreneurship, Derek loves creating spaces, places, and events that bring people closer to Jesus. Serving in vibrant and unified churches has always been a passion for Derek and Michelle. This chapter marks a new season of stepping out in faith to pursue the calling of full time ministry. In addition to helping launch the next location, Michelle also serves as the administrative assistant at Branch Church. Along with their two daughters, dog, and four chickens, the Swansons love spending time outside, working in the garden, sharing a meal around the table and embracing the adventures God lays out for their family.
